Who we are

Luca Technologies is a software and digital services business based in Arizona, United States. In this policy, “Luca Technologies,” “we,” and “us” refer to the business responsible for the website and services described here.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact and inquiry information, such as your name, email address, company, and the message you send through a project request form.
• Account and security information, such as a password hash, session records, multi-factor authentication settings, IP address, browser or device information, and security event history.
• Client workspace information, such as organization contacts, projects, requests, tickets, files, notes, and other information a client or authorized user submits to the service.
• Newsletter information, such as an email address and subscription preference, when you expressly ask to receive updates.
• Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, including request metadata, error information, and access logs.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Respond to inquiries and provide requested services.
• Operate accounts, client workspaces, and support workflows.
• Authenticate users, prevent abuse, and investigate security events.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve our software.
• Send service messages and, with your choice, newsletter updates.
• Meet contractual, tax, accounting, and legal obligations.

How we share information

We share information only when needed to provide or secure our services, follow your instructions, complete a business transaction, or comply with law. This can include hosting, database, file storage, infrastructure, and email providers.

We do not sell personal information for money or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Service providers

Depending on the service configuration, we currently use Amazon Web Services for infrastructure, file storage, and transactional email; Neon for managed PostgreSQL database hosting; Cloudflare for domain services, traffic routing, and edge security; and a configured transactional email provider. These providers process information only as needed to operate the applicable service.

We may change providers as our services develop. Where a client agreement requires notice or authorization before a new provider processes client data, we follow the process stated in that agreement.

Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, to provide an active service, to maintain legitimate business and security records, and to meet contractual or legal obligations. Retention can vary by record type and client agreement. Backups may retain deleted information for a limited period before normal rotation removes it.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. More information about our current practices is on our Security page.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may unsubscribe from newsletter messages using the instructions in the message or by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may need to be retained where permitted by law.

Cookies

We currently use cookies that are necessary for authentication and security. We do not currently use advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International processing

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those locations may have different data protection laws than your location.
